Maradona – A Lineker Anecdote

I played for the Rest of the World against the English First Division at Wembley in 1987. Zico, Platini, Maradona, Futre, all brilliant players. We were warming up when Maradona, his boots unlaced, started to boot the ball as high as he could and as it came down he simply booted it up again, and again. He did it 12 times. It was incredible. Platini, who was some player himself, just stood, his mouth open, in awe. What a player.
