That Takes the Biscuit

On Boxing Day I had the pleasure of visiting KitKat Crescent the home of the Minstermen aka York City. Droylsden where the guests in a Blue Square Premier match. Droylsden who are bottom of the table opened the match best playing fast passing football and took the lead after 6 minutes. But York gradually took control of the match and equalised in the 23rd minute when Farrell scored from the penalty spot. York’s winner came in the 53rd minute.

York won their second Christmas fixture when they defeated Weymouth 2-0. On New Years Day they traveled to Manchester to meet Droylsden. The Manchester team lead 2-0 at the break but the game exploded into life in the final 20 minutes when Droylsden netted once and York four times to win 4-3.

Here’s YouTube footage of the Boxing Day game. Great stuff!
