Llorente Scores the Fastest Goal in La Liga History

Real Valladolid striker Joseba Llorente scored the fastest goal in La Liga history in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Espanyol. Llorente ran on to a long through ball from Victor to score after just 7.42 seconds of the game. The previous record was held by ex-Portsmouth striker Dario Silva who scored after 8 seconds for Malaga versus Valladolid in December 2000.

Real Madrid’s Raul was also quick off the mark, scoring after only 30 second in Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Atletico in the Madrid derby.
