On This Day – Fowler Scores His Final Liverpool Goal

24-2-2007 On this day in 2007 Robbie Fowler scored his 183th and last goal for Liverpool. The Toxteth born striker scored two penalties in a 4-0 home win over Sheffield United. Sami Hyypia and Steven Gerrard scored Liverpool’s other goals in the Premier League encounter.

Fowler scored on his debut for the Reds in September 1993 and scored 31 goals in both 1994-5 and 1996-97 and season best of 36 in 1995-96. He moved to Leeds and Manchester City before returning to Anfield in 2006. His final Liverpool games was against Charlton at Anfield 13th May 2007.
